SDEBA Membership Information

All individuals interested in elk farming; or those in related businesses may become members. There aer three categories of membership; Active, Associate, and Business. Dues shall be payable at the beginning of each fiscal year (Jan. 1).

_____Active Member - $50.00/year An individual, partnership, business, or corporation, which must own elk in SD, or those who live in SD, own elk and board them outside the state. Active members can hold office, vote on all matters brought before the membership, attend all activities sponsored by the SDEBA, receive SDEBA publications, and are entitiled to use SDEBA logo and statement of active membership in advertising, letterhead, business cards, etc. There shall be a maximum of one board position per membership.

_____Associate Member - $25.00/year An individual, partnership, business, or corporation, which has an interest in elk ranching, but does not own elk in SD. Associate members have no voting privileges, may not hold an office, are not entitled to use SDEBA logo and statement of membership in advertising, letterhead, business cards, etc., but may attend all activities sponsored by the SDEBA, and receive SDEBA publications.

_____Business Member - $75.00/year A business or corporation which does not own elk, but has an interest in elk ranching, does not receive voting privileges, and may not hold office. Business members may attend all activities sponsored by SDEBA, receive SDEBA publications, and are entitiled to use SDEBA logo and statement of membership in advertising, letterhead, business cards, etc. They will also receive a discounted rate for advertisement in SDEBA publications and will have access to display space at SDEBA activities, at a discounted rate as determined by the board.
